Broadstairs sits on the Isle of Thanet that benefits 15 sandy beaches and bays stretching from Pegwell Bay in the south to Minnis Bay in the north. With seven of them directly situated in Broadstairs, all easily linked by excellent coastal walks and the famous Viking Coastal Trail which also winds inland to some rather beautiful Kent villages its simply perfect for coastal walks and anyone who wishes to soak up some amazing coastal views.
Steeped in History
Broadstairs is steeped in history, Charles Dickins once described it as one of the freshest and freest little places in the world’ he visited the town frequently across two decades and wrote David Copperfield whilst staying at Bleak House which sits proudly on the cliff north of Viking Bay. For those that enjoy to soak up history there are some great Historical walks to enjoy.
